Goal

The goal of this project is to provide our English Language Learners with opportunities to learn and practice new vocabulary by engaging in interactive lessons and activities provided by the BrainPop program.

What will be done with my students

This school year, we have received a high number of newcomers in our schools. Many of them have not received formal education in their countries of origin, or their school experience was interrupted abruptly. Having access to Brain pop will help our ELLs learn the language in a fun and engaging way. What's more important, their lessons will be content based and tailored to their grade level, so they can study the same topics as the rest of peers in their class.

Benefits to my students

We expect students to gain vocabulary and reading skills. The lessons in the program have been created through a language lens, so students will have the opportunity to improve all language skills: reading, listening, speaking and writing.
