Goal

The goal of this project is to purchase a year membership for Choral Tracks for the Alonso Choir Department. Students will have access to the Choral Tracks database of music via online written music and recordings.

We will use these recorded tracks in class each day to work on intonation, rhythm, diction, and style and students can use them at home for practice as well.

In addition students will have electronic PDFs of each song so they can view it on their own device.

We will use this program every day for the entire year. 

What will be done with my students

Students will have access to online recorded tracks of the music we are performing in class. Each song has multiple recorded tracks so students can hear the different layers of each piece we are performing in class.
1) The piano accompaniment for each piece; Each piece has a track with just the piano accompaniment, so students can sing with the accompaniment . This accompany track will also be used each day in rehearsal.
2) Specific parts; each choir part (soprano, alto, tenor, bass) is recorded so students can practice along with a professional recording. This will help them with tone, rhythm, and diction. We will also use the independent part tracks in class as well.

This program will also provide the students with all the sheet music they will need for an entire school year.

The students will present 4 concerts throughout the school year. Choral Tracks will help with the daily preparation for each concert.

Choral Tracks will help the choir as a group in rehearsal as well as individually as a practice tool outside of rehearsal.


 

Benefits to my students

Through using Choral Tracks students will grow musically by improving diction, rhythm, pitch, intonation and tone quality.

This will benefit all students in the Alonso Choir program and the quality of the daily rehearsals as well as the performances.
