Goal

Students will have a chance to practice their Language Arts skills as they use the Clips app to create videos. Their videos will be based on their choice of a variety of curriculum areas. They will be displayed on the library TV as well as the office TV, so students will have real audiences for their work.

What will be done with my students

Students will choose a topic that they would like to use as a focus for their videos. They will create storyboards that will help them to turn their ideas from thoughts to something more concrete. They will make their videos and then play them for their classmates. They can also be shared with out of town relatives.

Benefits to my students

Students have a real-life audience for their Language Arts skills while developing technology skills. They will also use Covey's 7 habits to get organized and work with others. The experience will be one students remember for a lifetime.

Budget Narrative

While this grant will purchase the iPads, I will use book fair funds to purchase cases and other CCPS requirements for new technology.
