Goal

To celebrate the influence that African Americans have had in American society including the food, music, artwork and impact on the character of our young students. 

 

What will be done with my students

The students will be performing songs that celebrate African-American heritage, culture, and history. They will also share African-American art that they have created as well as the opportunity to taste authentic soul food.
 

 

Benefits to my students

The students will grow in their knowledge of other cultures, and for some gain the appreciation and pride of their own culture.
