Goal

The goal is to have students in uniforms that fit them and are clean and comfortable. It if a student looks good with their outside appearance and have on clean clothes that fit, they feel better. We want them dressed for success.

What will be done with my students

Students who no longer fit in their uniforms from the beginning of the year or who have uniforms that are no longer in ok condition, will receive a few replenished uniforms. We want to take that burden off the kids of not being in dress code and put their focus on learning.

Benefits to my students

The students will worry less about what they look like, and more about what they are at school for and that is to learn. Students will not stand out because they are not in dress code or are not wearing clothes that are dirty or do not fit them. This will help alleviate unwanted stress and make students self-confidence rise.

Describe the Students

We have a very low SES population. Many of our families are living in motels and do not have the means to buy uniforms for their children. We have a mixture of students in our population from Gifted learners to ESE to ESOL students. We have low performing all the way to high performing.

Budget Narrative

The money will be used to purchase uniform shirts and bottoms for our PreK-5th graders who are in need of bigger sizes or clothing lacking dirt, stains, and holes. Many students have outgrown their shirts/bottoms from the beginning of the year, and they need to be eplaced.
