Goal

My goal is to have a class set of Botleys to immerse our students in the STEM world by learning how to code and using that knowledge to compete against other elementary students at this year's STEMpalooza.

What will be done with my students

At Baily we have a very high migrant population that may not have opportunities like this other than at school. This project will give our students experiences in future careers evolving around STEM. The problem solving aspect that they will experience will teach them how to persevere to reach their goal which is a valuable lesson in the real world. I would like to open up to them all the possibilities that they could have in their future.

Benefits to my students

Students will be able to code a series of moves for their Botley to maneuver through a variety of mazes. My expectation would be that every child finds a love of all the aspects that a future in STEM has to offer.
